Kia Sedona (06-09) Car Review

Kia Sedona (06-09)

2008-05-27 10:44:55 - The Kia Sedona is a large MPV at a budget price, also known as the Kia Carnival outside of Europe and the US. The car is deemed to be 'heavenly luxury at a down to earth price'. The current (second) generation started production in 2006 and features a 2.7l V6 with room for 8 passengers. On the road prices start at £16,000, making it one of the cheapest minivans around.

The car is available with a 2.9l CRDi diesel – allowing for a greatly improved fuel economy of 36mpg (manual transmission) or a 2.7l V6 petrol which has a slight performance increase.

The Kia Sedona's Interior

When the car is on long motorway journeys you'll certainly enjoy the experience, with optional DVD players, climate control, electric windows/sunroof to name a few features. Once you get to the side roads the handling becomes a little tricky, with typical van-like steering. It's certainly not the quickest with a 0-60mph time of about 15 seconds and the petrol engine is a gas guzzler for sure!.. We advice on the diesel version.

So, in summary the car is well equipped, extremely spacious and you cant beat it for affordability. Kia has improved on the build quality, but it still lacks a certain something in the design. Try it out, if you like the way it drives then go for it.

Score: 7/10
